The
Ojos de Salar (Eyes of the Salar) are a series of circular lagoons in
the Salar de Atacama. It was still spring in Chile and a bit chilly, but
we braved it and went for a dip in the salt saturated water. The guide
gave us a very professional commentary, and best of all handed us a beer
to drink while we were floating in the Ojos. After getting out, our clothes
were like elephant hide, stiff from deposits of salt.
