The Chaxa lagoons are a protected breeding and feeding area for Chilean flamingos, Andean flamingos, Andean Gulls and other birds. Looking closely into the salt lagoons you could see brine shrimps and bits of snot like algae floating around which the birds feed on. We stayed on to watch the sun set.
