Flying back from Puntas Arenas in Southern Chile to Santiago gave us a great view of the Andes and Chile's contorted coastline. It also illustrated the point that as a traveller in Chile you have the options of going north, south or a few centimetres to the east or to the west. We propose that for the benefit of future travellers, Chile gets chopped up horizontally with Argentina to form 3 separate countries.
