Coroico
is in the Yungas region, on the Amazon side of the Andes. Getting there
means descending 3600 metres in just over 60 kilometres down what’s
known as “the most dangerous road in the world”. Actually,
any road in India is more dangerous, but the 1000 drop offs were still
impressive and lack of traffic means it’s quite safe on a bike unless
you’re a mad speed freak like Luis, or severely uncoordinated like
Kim the Korean who spilled 3 times.
Ed. note: Eduardo, we know
you were faking your leg injury and were too scared.
