Between Cafayate and Salta is the Quebrada de las Flechas (Cliffs of the Arrows). We hired a taxi from Salta and drove through. When negotiating a taxi fare, I mistakenly said we wanted to go to El Calafate, not Cafayate, which is a difference of about 3000 kilometres. It was a nice drive but we but wanted to see more and decided to hire some bicycles (It was then how unfit we discovered we were)
