Varanasi
Hindu Pilgrims travel from all over India to dip in the holy Ganges. Along
the ghats lining the Ganges, daily rituals of offering, crapping, cremation,
swimming, laundry washing are performed with the occasional sightings
of the blind river dolphins. This place is a feast for the photographers'
eye, but not for the weak stomach. Everyday death and the dying stares
you in the face, the poor beg not so much for food but for money to buy
cremation wood.
