A short drive later through the Gotthard tunnel we ended up in Lago Maggiore and the Italian part of Switzerland. Or was that the Swiss part of Italy? Anyway, if you ever travel through this region you should check out some of the valleys that wind inland from the lake. There are some great spots for hiking and checking out the scenery
