Tirta Gangga
After 10 days of club Med luxury we headed out to a tiny village with a water palace with natural springs surrounded by some of the most beautiful rice terraces in Bali. They sweep out from Tirta Gangga, almost like a sea surrounding an island. We spent a few days in this area, hiking through traditional villages, visiting blacksmiths, silversmiths and beerssmiths and getting acquainted with some of the locals - one of them took a liking to my favourite Hawaiian shirt even though it was about 5 sizes too big .
